Allcooks is inspired by a belief in the restorative power of breaking bread together. Whether it’s around a table, a picnic blanket, or a straw mat, shared dining experiences offer opportunities for healing, understanding, and connecting.
When we come together to share a meal, we also share our culture, our stories, our experiences, our families and friends — celebrating our uniqueness along with what unites us.
The essential ingredients in communing over food are simple: curiosity, respect, a listening ear, encouragement, and acceptance. Diverse perspectives are welcomed. Commonalities are embraced. Differences are valued.
At the heart of it all: the food.
Allcooks is a community at its core and a celebration of food at heart. Together, we’re tasting dishes that provide comfort, learning about family recipes passed down through generations, and hearing about the culinary cultures that helped form who we are.

Sharon Burgess
Co-Founder
A retired educator, Sharon co-created Allcooks to marry the extensive culinary expertise of her husband, Chris, with her decades-long commitment to helping inform and inspire.
Sharon’s career centered in special education, and over 30-plus years, she illustrated how insights, information and community-building can spark passions and connect people across generations, miles, cultures, and abilities.
In Allcooks, Sharon wanted to cement a community that inspires that kind of connection, furthers that kind of inspiration, and supports that kind of passion — firmly focused on all things food.
Chris Burgess
Co-Founder
Chris co-created Allcooks, bringing over three decades of professional cooking and kitchen management experience, a passion for “scratch-built” cuisine, and a love of inspiring people through food.
His career has included numerous executive chef roles and the development and ownership of two Nashville restaurants, The Factory Grill and Bicyclette Café and Wine.
Chris understands the practicalities of cooking in professional settings — inventory control, cost accountability, supply chain management. But fundamentally, he’s driven by the creativity that makes cooking equal parts palate and palette.

The vision behind Allcooks extends beyond the joy of cooking and connection.
Our goal is to connect and nourish each other. Our mission is to make sure everyone has a seat at the table.
Food insecurity affects thousands of families here in the United States, and millions of people across the world. While we connect over a love of food, we want to address that reality and that problem and commit to being part of the solution.
As we grow, 10% of our proceeds will go toward community organizations fighting food insecurity.
These unsung heroes, often working with small staffs and limited budgets, work tirelessly to make sure their neighbors are fed.
We believe in shining a light on these “boots on the ground” organizations. And we believe in supporting them as they work to make a difference in their communities.
